Building the Dream...
The dream for this lodge began in 1986 when we held the 1st Annual National Wheelchair Sports Camp. Two excited quadriplegic (physically challenged) kids arrived and after seeing our old facilities left disappointed because we did not have private rooms to accomodate them. After 20 plus years, and havng well over 1000 physically challenged kids from across the country attend camp, the MIRACLE LODGE is now the new home for this camp. This is the only completely  wheelchair accessible lodge in the nation.
After seven years of construction and 28,000 volunteer hours of labor as well as generous donations from 80 contractors, 120 businesses, and nearly 1,000 people nationwide, this dream is a reality. This magnificent three-floor facility named itself as we proceeded through the building process. The Miracle Lodge is 33,000 square feet and its estimated value is $4.5 million.
Living the Dream...
The magnificent Miracle Lodge at Ironwood Springs opened in November of 2007 and is ready to host your corporate retreat, church retreat, family reunion, or youth group outing. This is Ironwood's first 'adult-friendly' retreat center. The Miracle Lodge is nestled in the woods along the Root River five miles west of Stewartville, MN. Ironwood offers many activities such as trail rides, horse-drawn wagon rides, tennis courts, a swimming pool, a mini-farm and 2 miles of trails on which to hike.

Miracle in Progress...
Funds are still needed to complete the six rooms, swimming pool, and spa on the lower level. Although the pool may be used for recreational use, it will be well suited for therapeutic purposes as well.
